About Me

AFHny STUDIO promotes architectural and environmental design-driven social change in New York and abroad by empowering design activists with the tools of collaboration and open forum. Founded and lead by the volunteers of Architecture For Humanity New York, the STUDIO developed from the belief that lives can be improved through thoughtfully designed spaces, and adheres to the organization’s mission of providing design services to communities in need.

Spring has sprung on ARTfarm...

These past 3 weekends our intrepid volunteers went back to The Bronx for some much needed garden maintenance. Check out some pics below. We are now sporting some newly painted blue and green planters and luckily, just before the massive rain event of this week we planted: Lilies, Dogwood, Salvia, Impatiens, Oregano, Basil, Tarragon, Sunflowers and many more. These plants join our veteran plants from last year Fothergilla, Irises and Hydrangeas!

Next on ARTfarm: we are getting ready for painting the mural with artist Oscar Lopez. Painting dates will be announced at the end of May. Stay tuned.
