Please join the Architecture for Humanity NY team for a weekend of mural painting at ARTfarm!
In partnership with the NYC Department of Transportation and the Bronx Museum of the Arts, we are looking for volunteers to help implement the winning Concrete Canvas mural.
Volunteers will paint under the direction of mural artist Oscar Lopez in a 'paint by numbers' style. No specific skills are required. Volunteer opportunities for gardening, watering, and site maintenance will also be available. Four shifts are available and six people are required for each.
To volunteer, please RSVP to aledbury@afhny.org and indicate your preferred shift:
Saturday, July 30 - 11am-3pm or 2-5pm
Sunday, July 31 - 11am-3pm or 2-5pm
Please note that the mural will be located on a steep slope, and much of the work will involve some climbing. You'll need to bring sturdy shoes, a water bottle, and be dressed for painting in sunny weather.
Snacks and water will be provided. Space is limited, so reserve your spot now!
